Who should attend: |
First step into an offshore career in Drilling, Production and Well Services. |
You must have completed the Basic Course and fulfill the other requirements for attending this course. |
For Engineers, Geologists or Geo-mechanics who wants to specialize in Drilling Operation or Well Planning & Construction. |
Pre-qualifications:
Vocational training and/or Trade certificate, Technical College or a
degree in Mechanical Engineering, or 2 to 5 years practical experience in
a Mechanical / Hydraulic/ Automation trade within offshore drilling. |
For people with Maritime certificates, or Engineers with offshore experience. |

Competency:
|
Qualify for work as Roughneck and Derrickman in the drilling crew, and for work in production or well service. ITC will give advise in how to use your earlier experience to get startet offshore. |
Qualify for work as Assistant Driller, Driller, Tool Pusher and Drilling Supervisor. Or as Service Technicians for Directional Drilling, Cementing, MWD, Drilling Fluids and much more. |
The carriers are dependent on previous experience and education. Qualifies for work as Drilling Engineer or Drilling Supervisor. Contact ITC for counselling |
This course will qualify you for the job as Sub-sea Engineer, with operation and maintenance
of all Sub-sea-, BOP- and Compensation- equipment on a Semi-sub or Drillship. |
Qualify for work as Technical Manager, Stability Manager, Platform Manager and Offshore Installation Manager (OIM). |
